Wholesale Clear Christmas Balls

Weights and measures

Audio Recommended: The Clash "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?"

There are compelling moral battles that often encounter a lack of clear thinking.

The news this . The court of Turin, instead of meet the requirement of compensation for the death of an Albanian worker, said that it should be recognized for family members of the latter a very small amount (something like 32 000 €).

One, two, three, parties .... immediately started the train of indignation ("All lives are equal", "should be paid the same way," "Here we do the Dead Series B", bla bla bla).
As often happens, this kind of controversy quickly become instrumental, and so much for this attack and others, to swell and then collapse with equal speed and roar at the end who has seen it and seen others boh! (Of course, no?)

The whole story came to me in mind some points that I want to pin.
1) A worker died on the job, should not happen, sometimes it happens. The times it happens too many, and many of these times is the responsibility of someone (the security measures that are missing, the precautions are not taken, the attention that you do not do). But anyway, a worker died. Point.
2) the law is general and abstract, if my wife divorced me and asks me the same food that is asking for Veronica Lario, Silvio Berlusconi (something like five million euro per month) I go bankrupt in a few minutes, then there are formulas fair (which they say food and to assess damages in relation to its where are the actors). Otherwise you might as well replace it all with a price list and away you go.
3) the court issues a ruling does not close in a room with big pipes and bongos, which expects to reach enlightenment, but refer to legal texts and formulas determined to protect the parts of a process. Let's say that their freedom of interpretation is rather limited.
4) live in a world of imbalance within the European community itself a liter of milk price changes sometimes in the same country. And some wonder if a judge tries to take account of this imbalance.
5) now provides that a judge's lives are not all equal. Bella force, we live Whereas other people's lives, we are overwhelmed by our own prejudices and a judge puts me in black and white, on a ruling that lives are not all equal? Are you calling me a racist, to me that I am? How the hell do you allow? Shame!

These are the top five considerations that I get, I probably will be others, if you do know.
