The friend, colleague, writer and explorer Marco Zagni passed me this incredible news. An Italian expedition, Rierche Akakor Group, headed by Lorenzo Epis, entered for the first time since at least 4000 years in the tunnels of the pyramid of Akapana Tiwanako, Bolivia. Tunnels have been identified by the archaeologist Osvaldo Rivera thanks to the friezes of the famous Gate of the Sun Tiwanaco I remember that was associated with Atlantis in the last century by the archaeologist Arthur Posnasky and still maintains this relationship and was one of the most mysterious places on the planet. « Situata sull’altipiano della Bolivia a 4000 metri di altitudine e a circa 75 Km. dalla capitale La Paz (che conta circa 3 milioni e mezzo di abitanti), Tiahuanaco (o Tiwanaku) per noi occidentali rappresenta ancora la quintessenza del mistero delle città perdute.
